Shipping Policy
Many of our plants are shippable, though larger plants cannot be shipped due to their size and delicate nature. Each of our products will indicate whether shipping is an option in the product description. Please be aware that if an item is not able to be shipped, you will receive a confirmation email letting you know when your purchase is ready for pickup (We offer FREE twice a week pick-up in Peterborough) . If an item is shippable, then we will ship the product to you using your personizled shipping quote. If a purchase is made containing both shippable and non-shippable products, then we will ship those products that are able to get shipped to you, while the others will need to get picked up. If you have any questions feel free to contact us anytime. We will get back to you during business hours.
To help reduce shipping costs and keep your plants safe during transit:
-The Plant Market will carefully package your plants appropriately, depending on the season (ie: during colder months, The Plant Market ships with 48-96 hour heat packs & well insulated boxes)
- The Plant Market only ships BARE ROOTS plants, gently wrapped in moss, perlite or soil
-The Plant Market ships on MONDAY & TUESDAY (year round, with the exception of holidays) to help reduce the amount of time your plants are in transit
⚠️The Plant Market is not responsible for damage done to plants by extreme weather. Please monitor the weather in your area and keep us informed, we will do the same on our end to help protect your plants from cold or extremely hot weather. Order at your own risk.
Return &
Exchange Policy
Please track your package and open it immediately upon arrival. If you receive your package and are not satisfied, please message us with 24 hours and include photos of the packaging, and plants. Some plants may get damaged during shipping, and if we believe the plant can be salvaged we cannot offer a store credit. If the plant is damaged beyond repair, we will be happy to offer a store credit only (**EXCLUDING SHIPPING COSTS**) or if available, send a replacement plant.
Plant Stress Due to Shipping: Your plant has been on a long journey and may appear stressed. Properly acclimating a shipped plant is very important. How we do it!
Plants that are purchased using our local pick-up/delivery service are subject to a NO RETURN/NO EXCHANGE POLICY as The Plant Market carefully inspects all plants upon sale. Please contact us by emailing peterboroughplantmarket@gmail.com with any questions.
